Well, you could always get something your grandfather enjoyed a lot with it. The one I got for my grandmother had what we called her, her year of birth and death and a daisy because she absolutely loved them. Or you can add something you destinctly remember about them or something that always stuck out. My grandpa, for as long as I could remember, no matter what car/ van he had, he always had this stuffed bat hanging from the window. So when he passed, my mom got the bat, I brought it in to my tattoo place, and the same text as my grandma (but his name and dates) and the bat. They both mean a lot to me because it's something that just always sticks out in my mind about them. |
