Ok, so I want to get a tattoo of something that has a really strong meaning. I can't find exactly what I'm looking for, and I just want an outside opinion. ok so im sure everyone who goes to get their first tattoo arnt really sure what to get. most people base their tattoo off of something thats significant to them, but i dont really have anything significant to me other than my family. I dont want something that EVERY girl has like butterflies. so ideas and pictures would be great. im thinking of getting it on my lower back or maby my shoulder. whats a good place to get your first tattoo?

I am looking for something that represents following your heart or listening to your heart. I was thinking of my husband's initials, my school and a cross incorporated into the tattoo somehow. I would prefer it not to be larger than life, something small to med size. Any ideas would help, pictures are welcome.If this helps, the tattoo is suppose to represent a struggle I have had over the past two decades and achieve what I wanted without the dictation of others.
